Beane and I like our interior defensive linemen to be versatile 1-tech/3-tech guys. Add in "get home" ability with lots of sacks/TFLs to add to constant pressures. Beane's DT archetype seems to be in the 296-320 lb range, and that's Bear. Alexander was active in the 2025 whiteout 2-OT scouted win over PSU with 2 solos and 3 assists. He had a fumble recovery in the Oregon State game, also scouted, and 3 solos/1 assist in the Rutgers game. Alexander has traveled around, previously for the Georgia Bulldogs and the USC Trojans. I expect we'll see at least one DT hear his name called in April 2027.

Only 1.5 sacks career, all in 2025, with the whole sack vs Indiana. @pdubya: " + 83.3 run defense grade + 69.3 pass rush grade + violent hand usage at the point of attack + high level athlete + good lateral agility for his size + plays with consistent pad level + great first step explosion + legit power at the point of attack + 8.2% pass rush win rate - limited pass rush bag - gets caught overcommitting to his initial rush lane - tackling consistency needs improvement - 17.4% missed tackle rate "
