As a redshirt sophomore, Rocco's maturity on the field is reminiscent of a seasoned senior, earning him the title of Big 12 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Bills scouts took note of Becht's performance leading Iowa State to victory over Iowa, and in that game he directed the Cyclones to a 10-play, 75-yard drive that was capped by the go-ahead TD to reach the Big 12 Championship game with a 31-28 road victory over Utah.
