Broke out during his freshman campaign in 2024, earning Freshman All-America honors. Son of a Division I head coach. 2025: Credited with 47 tackles (3.0 for loss), a sack, an interception and 11 pass breakups in 695 defensive snaps over 13 games (all starts). Coming out of high school, he possessed elite high school track speed, recording times of 11.12 seconds in the 100-meter dash.@Rob__Paul: "a bully who just smothers receivers in press-man. Can really trigger and close with his explosiveness, too. Hampton, who wasn't even a top 500 recruit in 2024, allowed just a 72.5 NFL QB rating when targeted last season.".

Transfer from Georgia where Jahmile Addae (now Dolphins) was key in recruiting him. Backs up DezzRicks, is arguably the fastest CB in the class --but he's slower than MaxHairston, but at 195 lbs, he's 10 lbs heavier than Max. Humphrey spent three seasons at Georgia, even leading their 2024 SEC Championship team with four pass breakups. However, despite his immense talent, he struggled to lock down a permanent, unshakeable starting role in the Bulldogs' hyper-competitive secondary. Value would be as a PFA. He prefers to go by "Julio Humphrey"—a nickname he adopted growing up because his favorite player was Julio Jones. PRIOR TO TEXAS A&M: Played three seasons at Georgia appearing in 23 games, including 10 starts and a team leading four pass breakups on the 2024 SEC Championship team. Totaled 21 tackles, including 18 solo takedowns and had five pass breakups. Saw action in nine games as a reserve defensive back in 2023, while he appeared in three games in 2022. 131 snaps. 2 receptions allowed, 10 yards allowed, 42.4 Passer Rating when targeted.
